Overview

The senior's serenity

AVA is a digital wellness App ecosystem designed to support elderly people in their everyday life through a simpler, calmer, and more emotionally accessible experience fighting loneliness and isolation problems. The project combines a circular smart device with the AVA app integrated with various functionalities, an AI companion, and a connected health bracelet into one intuitive system built not only for seniors, but also for their families and caregivers. The goal was simple: make technology feel less intimidating and more supportive, creating a product that helps people stay connected, reassured, and independent in their daily routine.

The Challenges

Making technology feel reassuring instead of overwhelming.

Most healthcare products designed for elderly users feel cold, complex, or overly medical. The challenge was creating a system capable of balancing accessibility, emotional comfort, and usability at the same time, without making the experience feel outdated or infantilizing. Every interaction needed to feel clear, calm, and human for seniors, while still communicating reliability and trust to caregivers and family members monitoring their loved ones remotely.

The Solution

Built around clarity, empathy, and emotional trust.

I designed the full UX/UI system, the whole project concept, prototype, communication strategy, and brand identity around one core idea: making digital support feel emotionally positive instead of clinical. The interface uses large visual elements, simplified navigation, rounded typography, friendly graphics, and reduced physical controls to make every interaction easier and more intuitive for elderly users. The visual identity was built using soft teal and calming green tones to communicate serenity, safety, hope, and human connection, while deeper green accents reinforce credibility and stability across the ecosystem.

The communication strategy extended beyond the product itself, combining emotional storytelling, real-user testimonials, QR-based interactions, and awareness campaigns designed to connect both older and younger generations.
